Robert W. McLellarn, Ph.D. has been a licensed Clinical Psychologist
in Oregon since 1985. His offices are located in Southwest Portland close
to Beaverton at the Sylvan exit off of Highway 26. He is the founder and
director of The Anxiety and Panic Treatment Center where he specializes
in the treatment of anxiety disorders in children, adolescents and adults.
Dr. McLellarn received his Bachelors degree in English Literature from
Oregon State University, his Masters degree in Counseling from Lewis and
Clark College (in Portland, OR) and his Masters and Ph.D. in Clinical
Psychology from the University of Montana. His Clinical Psychology internship
was at the Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical
Center and he then did a two-year residency/fellowship at the Oregon Health
Sciences University.
Dr. McLellarn specializes in using Cognitive Behavior Therapy
for the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder,
Agoraphobia, Social Phobia, Specific Phobias, Generalized Anxiety Disorder,
Health Anxiety/Hypochondriasis and general Stress Management.
A unique feature of his practice is that, if necessary, he will make home
visits. Dr. McLellarn is a member of the
AnxietyDisorders Association of America,
The Obsessive Compulsive Foundation,
the American Psychological Association and the Oregon Psychological Association.

Jerusha Detweiler-Bedell, Ph.D., received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Psychology from Stanford University in 1995. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Yale University in 2001, after completing her clinical internship at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. She is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Lewis and Clark College, and she became a licensed psychologist in the state of Oregon in 2008. Dr. Detweiler-Bedell specializes in Cognitive Behavior Therapy for the treatment of anxiety disorders (e.g., panic, agoraphobia, social phobia) and major depressive disorder. She has published a number of scholarly papers on clinically relevant topics, and she is co-author of the book “Treatment Planning in Psychotherapy: Taking the Guesswork Out of Clinical Care.” In the Behavioral Health & Social Psychology research laboratory at Lewis and Clark College, Dr. Detweiler-Bedell and her collaborators investigate methods for enhancing the motivation to perform important physical and mental health behaviors.

Elke Zuercher-White, Ph.D., has been a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the cognitive-behavioral treatment of anxiety disorders for over twenty-five years. She is a pioneer in the use of group therapy to treat panic disorders. She is fluent in several different languages, including Spanish.

Jay Wilkinson, Psy.D
Psychologist-Resident
Jay Wilkinson, Psy.D., received his Bachelors degree in English literature from Lewis & Clark College and his Masters degree and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University’s School of Professional Psychology. His Clinical Psychology internship was at Baruch College Counseling Center in New York City. Dr. Wilkinson has worked with diverse groups of people including college and graduate students, inner city chronically mentally ill, prison inmates and the general public in outpatient clinics.
Dr. Wilkinson incorporates humanistic values into his work with clients while specializing in the use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy for treating anxiety conditions. He is a past member of Pacific University Psychological Service Center’s Solutions for Anxiety team. He also has extensive experience in providing cutting edge evidence-based treatments, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. He is a member of both the American Psychological Association and the Oregon Psychological Association.
